About this dataset

The urban or rural classification of every barangay of the Philippines from the 2024 Census of Population of the Philippine Statistics Authority, by its three tests: 5,000 people or more; an establishment with 100 employees or more; or five or more establishments with 10 to 99 employees and five or more facilities within two kilometres of the barangay hall. Every barangay of Metro Manila is urban. Scene shows each barangay's class and, for a city, municipality or province, how many of its people live in urban barangays.

How the figures were made: The PSA's classification from the census and its count of establishments and facilities (PSA Board Resolution No. 01, Series of 2017-098).

What Scene adds: Nothing. The figures are the source's, as it publishes them.
