About this dataset

The gross domestic product of every region (the Regional Accounts) and of every province and highly urbanized city (the Provincial Product Accounts) of the Philippine Statistics Authority, for 2025: at current prices and at constant 2018 prices, its growth from 2024 at constant prices, and its value for each person. A province's figures leave out the highly urbanized cities in it, which the PSA counts apart. Every figure is the PSA's own, read from its PC-Axis files on OpenSTAT.

How the figures were made: The PSA's national accounts, by the production approach: the value added of every resident producer, plus taxes less subsidies on products.

What Scene adds: Nothing. The figures are the source's, as it publishes them.

The PSA's notes for this table

Indicator: Gross Domestic Product (in thousand PhP) Definition: Gross Domestic Product (GDP) measures the production of all resident producers. It is the monetary value of all final goods and services produced within an economy at a given time. See more: https://psa.gov.ph/system/files/eiad/Quarterly-and-Annual-Gross-Domestic-Product-Sources-and-Methods.pdf Method of Computation: The GDP at the provincial and highly urbanized city (HUC) level is computed using production approach. GDP is derived by adding the gross value added (GVA) of all resident producer units, plus the value of taxes less subsidies on products. GVA is the value of gross output less the value of intermediate consumption. Source of Basic Data: Data are sourced from both survey and administrative sources. Major sources for the benchmark estimates include Census of Philippine Business Industry (CPBI), Updated list of establishments (ULE), Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES), while surveys and administrative data from various stakeholders were utilized in non-benchmark compilation. Note/s: i. Provincial Product Accounting (PPA) is an accounting framework, which is aligned with the Philippine System of National Accounts (PSNA), that aims to present a comprehensive picture of the provincial and Highly Urbanized City (HUC) economies. ii. Figures for the City of Makati exclude the Embo Barangays starting in 2022, following their transfer to the City of Taguig.

Indicator: GDP Growth Rate (in percent) Definition: Gross Domestic Product (GDP) measures the production of all resident producers. It is the monetary value of all final goods and services produced within an economy at a given time. GDP Growth Rate is the rate at which GDP increases or decreases over a specific period, expressed as a percentage. See more: https://psa.gov.ph/system/files/eiad/Quarterly-and-Annual-Gross-Domestic-Product-Sources-and-Methods.pdf Method of Computation: GDP growth rate is derived using the formula: ((GDP present year - GDP previous year) / GDP previous year) × 100 - 100 Source of Basic Data: Data are sourced from both survey and administrative sources. Major sources for the benchmark estimates include Census of Philippine Business Industry (CPBI), Updated list of establishments (ULE), Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES), while surveys and administrative data from various stakeholders were utilized in non-benchmark compilation.
