About this dataset
Every change to a region, province, city, municipality or barangay of the Philippines that the Philippine Statistics Authority has recorded in its Summary of Changes since 1977: places created, divided and merged, renamed, moved to another town, province or region, and made a city, each with the law, order or plebiscite that made it where the PSA names one.
How the figures were made: The PSA's own record of changes to its list of places, quarter by quarter.
What Scene adds: Each change matched to the place it concerns today, and said in plain words.
